  1. Hello Dana, I enjoy listening to your podcast. It is informitive and entertaining. I do have some questions about the nitrates in cured foods. Just how much sodium nitrate is in our food anyway. Why is the food industry allowed to use it if it is causing cancer?
Did you hear about the report that said eating the skin on chicken contains something that also causes cancer? I heard it on Fox news. What’s next?
I recently took a trip to Trader Joe’s down by St. Louis just to get some nitrate free foods. Quite the costly trip. My brother who is a farmer who received a processed hog 2 times a year as part of his salary now has pancreatic cancer. His doctor from cancer treatment centers of America has restricted his diet to a low fat one with no cured foods, no artifical sweeteners, very very lean red meat 1 or 2 times a week. Fish baked and fresh veggies.
I love the low carb life style, but sometimes I just cannot lose anything unless I stay below 20 carbs a day. I feel like I’m not eating enough at that amount, cause I’m still hungry, or get hungry again a short time later. I’m sure you have heard that over and over again. And I’m sure that is why alot of people fall off the wagon. Sorry to go on and on. Any advice you can give me will be appreciated.
What were the second day results on your egg fast? If you had such luck with it maybe I’ll try it.
Thanx so much Dana and have a great day.
